Python and the PIL...

For reasons too desperately boring to go into.. I am missing my Linux box at
the moment..

I have some code that relies on the Python Imaging Library which I'm trying
to use on my NT box but I'm finding a few probs.. namely Image.thumbnail(())
produces garbage..

Is this a known problem or do I just have the thing misinstalled (or
other)..
