TCP/IP ports and RPC in python

Surely there is someone out there who has written something already...

I just don't get it. I can do port programming, I understand that much at
least.

What I want to write is N-Tier -- I would implement this solution using COM,
but I need to run it on MACs too.

Has anyone out there got a small code snippet they would be willing to
share?

I mean, client and server RPC + serialisation equivalents.

I want to stop using Java. Won't someone help me?
