problems setting up PIL under Redhat 6.0??

Hello,

I'm trying to use PIL under redhat 6.0, but I can't seem to get it to
work.  I go through the instructions for building everything, but when
I try to import _imaging I get this error.

Traceback (innermost last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
ImportError: /usr/lib/libtk8.0.so: undefined symbol: XFreePixmap

Any ideas?
