Just tested Tcl/Tk 8.3.0 with Python: It works (on SuSE Linux)!

Since Tk is interactive, it's hard to test automatically.

What I do typically is to run each of the programs from
Demo/tkinter/matt in the standard distribution -- it touches most
features.
