It looks like the readme that comes with sio-151
(ftp://ftp.python.org/pub/python/contrib/sio-151.zip)is the
extent of the documentation.  You might take a look at using
COM, then http://members.aol.com/Bbirthisel/SerialPort.html
may also help some.
