I'd like to write an improved Kanji drill (kdrill) in Python. kdrill is a Linux program which displays Kanji (and Katakana/Hirigana) and their definitions/pronuciations (from edict, the free "English Dictionary" from Japan). I have the necessary fonts installed. But how can I access them from Python?
