REPOST:SQLlike tables in XML via Python

I have send this befor but apparantly it didn't get through

Maybe somebody on the list can help me. I spend hours the other day
searching the web, but without any luck.

I remember reading a year ago about using a subset of XML to make SQL-like
tables, saving the data in xml format.

There was an api and code examples, and I seem to remember that there was
Python examples too.

Does anybody have a link??? or an idea what i'm talking about.
