Doesn't anybody write to paper anymore?

Thanks to everyone who replied.  With your help, I got it working. 
Even, the facetious replies were appreciated. Just one follow-up:  The
docs say that os.popen() is "unreliable on Windows."  Is this still true
in 1.5?  And if so, is there an alternate implementation for windows?  I
run on Redhat6.1 Linux at home but need to port to windows98 for work.
