simple IRC client

There was an announcement on frechmeat of geektalk. It is written in
perl but has an python client at least :-)

Another possibilty is pygcs by Jeff Blaine. It's a simple chat server.

Or the old traditional talk, there is a talk client in the ftp area at 
python.org called xtalk. But all these need a server/damon somewhere.

If you find something else, a short notice would be fine... :-)
