As Guido said, it is probably prefered that one does a cvs diff prior to
checking in. But to answer your question *unauthoritatively*, I know that CVS
allows you the change the checkin template and I *think* that it offers a
script hook to be able to generate it (not sure). If so then one could use
that script hook to put in the (commented) patch.
