I just rang Torimatsu restaurant at 179 King Street between Bourke and 
Little Bourke. They have an upstairs dining room which they would let us 
have exclusively once a month between 6pm and 9:30pm. It would seat 30. 
They say 60 max but that would be a bit crowded and would include the 
bar area.

There are strings attached.

No charge for the venue but they would expect us to order a combined 
total of $26 worth of food and drinks per head. I presume that would be 
an average. Here are the food prices ...

And a minor hitch.

I have a projector but no screen and their walls are brown on one side 
and purple on the other.

I have eaten there many times and have no hesitation recommending the 
food. They have a decent bar and good winelist too.

If there are no immediate vetoes we need some volunteer city folk to 
check it out and help us decide.
