Configure the list to not add msg_header or msg_footer. I.e., set those
attributes empty in the web admin UI Non-digest options section.

Or, if you just want the text and don't care about the HTML formatting,
use content filtering to accept text/html but collapse alternatives and
convert html to plain text.
