Thanks, I guess that's probably what I was thinking of.  I still have
a fairly strong recollection of having seen a listinfo overview page
in Dutch even though the DEFAULT_SERVER_LANGUAGE is English, but this
doesn't seem possible so I must be mistaken.

On the other hand, I have observed other remarkable behavior.  For
example, when I moved some mailman lists from a server that used a
different prefix (/usr/local/mailman vs. /usr/lib/mailman) I neglected
to update the aliases accordingly but I didn't notice for nearly a
year because they worked anyway even though the directory didn't
exist.  It took me some head-scratching to puzzle that out--apparently
sendmail strips off the path and looks in the smrsh directory instead,
so it doesn't matter what directory is specified in the alias.
