Although let me add that it is a goal of mine for MM2.2 to expand the  
drive-ability of Mailman via email to be as close to as powerful as  
the web interface as possible.  Limiting factors ought to be security  
considerations and usability, not (as is often the case now) that  
implementation details caused too much functionality to reside  
inaccessibly in the web support code.
