I think there is agreement that once the "complete" message is in the
smtp log, you're OK for that message regardless of VERP/threading
issues. The simplest situation would be not VERPing and yes single
threading.

Depends on your installation. It's a file named smtp in a directory
with other files named bounce, error, mischief, post, qrunner,
subscribe and vette.

The directory might be $prefix/logs where $prefix is the path to your
mailman installation (mailman) directory, but it could be elsewhere.

Standard defaults are no VERPing and yes single threading. This would
actually be the simplest situation. Look in
$prefix/Mailman/Defaults.py for the defaults and their descriptions
and in $prefix/Mailman/mm_cfg.py for your installation specific
overrides.
