I use LVS at one site for this (you can search the archives and find all
the details you want), some folks use NFS and love it.  I'm comfortable
having one server as a master and only doing the changes to the master,
then echoing those changes out to the slaves.  One of the slaves takes
over as Master should the Master ever go down.
