[Mailman-Users] Hopefully a simple question

Hi,
Mailman suddenly won't let me subscribe new users or create new lists. I 
don't understand the messages in the error logs (various syntax errors, 
missing module etc). I wondered if I could just re-install over the top 
without losing the current lists and members.
Any clues?
