Hi everyone,

My installation of Mailman 2.0.6 / Sendmail 8.12.1 / Redhat 7.2 is
generating the following error when I try to reply to a subscription
confirmation.:

smrsh: wrapper not available for sendmail programs
554 5.0.0 Service unavailable

I found the following in the "Common Problems" page on the Mailman web site:

Problem: I send mail to the list, and get back mail saying, sh: wrapper not
available for sendmail programs
Solution: Your system uses sendmail restricted shell (smrsh). You need to
configure smrsh by creating a symbolic link from the mail wrapper
($prefix/mail/wrapper) to the directory identifying executables allowed to
run under smrsh.

Sooo, I went looking.

In my case, $prefix is /var/mailman, and my smrsh restricted programs
directory is /etc/smrsh.

The required symbolic link exists in /etc/smrsh:

0 lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           25 Dec  6 00:35 wrapper ->
/var/mailman/mail/wrapper

Yet I still get the error mentioned above.
Does anyone have any ideas what else could be going on here?
