[Mailman-Users] Trouble installing mailman with postfix on fbsd

I seem to be having the trouble listed in the 'Common problems FAQ'
about Postfix complaining about the wrong GID. I've installed
postfix-20010228 (patch level 3.2) and mailman as via the ports system
on free bsd 4.3-STABLE.

Basically, postfix is gid '1001' and mailman is '89'. I've added the
line:
alias_maps = hash:/usr/local/mailman/mailman.aliases

to my /usr/local/etc/postfix/main.cf like the faq states. Added my list
aliases to this file and ran postalias as user 'mailman', creating the
mailman.aliases.db file:

root at sakaki.p11.com:/usr/local/mailman# ls mailman.aliases*
-rw-r--r-- 1 mailman mailman 304 Aug 9 12:08 mailman.aliases
-rw-r--r-- 1 mailman mailman 32768 Aug 9 12:08 mailman.aliases.db

I can get mailman to generate all the administrative emails about the
list being setup correctly, so I procede to sign a user up to the list.
When the user replies to the confirmation mail, this creeps up in the
mail logs:

WANTED gid 89, GOT gid 0. (Reconfigure to take 0?)

Please help... I'm at wits end and have spent many hours trying to
figure this out. Anyone see something I'm blatently missing?
