[Mailman-Users] Swedish characters

Hi!
I have recently installed mailman and I am now trying to figure out 
how to make it accept swedish characters (åäö) in the templates (such 
as verify.txt/subscribeack.txt). Can anyone help me out?

I tried to find an answer to that question in the 
mailman-users-archive but it is very hard to go through all the 
mails and I couldnt find an answer.
