[Mailman-Users] Newbie question. Mailman not posting.

After further inspection, I suspect the problem has something to do with
smrsh. The mailman documentation says to enter the alias 

listname:	"|/home/mailman/mail/wrapper post listname"

in /etc/aliases, however the smrsh documentation says it will not execute
aliases with  '|' symbols. Removing the '|' and running newaliases and
then resending the message really messes with sendmail. I get the
following error messages:

output: Permission denied

Sep 15 16:23:14 digger.sigfs.org sendmail[3251]: QAB03251: to=root,
delay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local, stat=Sent
