[Mailman-Users] troubles with confirmation of subscription

When someone tries to send back a confirmation of subscription, their mail
bounces. People have been able to unsubscribe and send messages to the
list itself. We're running the CVS version of mailman from just a few
minutes ago, but I've been having the problem since at least 30
June. We have Red Hat Linux 6.2 and have been running mailman for over a
year.

  $ rpm -q python sendmail
  python-1.5.2-13
  sendmail-8.9.3-20
  $ ls -l /etc/smrsh/
  total 0
  lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           26 Jul  7 11:54 wrapper ->
  /home/mailman/mail/wrapper

Another problem I noticed after updating mailman around 1 June is that
people who were signed up for digests somehow got signed up for the plain
list as well. When that happened, they received neither. I worked around
this by taking those people off the plain list, and telling them that if
they really wanted both lists they should use two distinct addresses.

Here's one of the bounces, showing the error.
