I recall on account of this problem previously on the list.  It is
repproduceable for me for the one list.  All the other lists on the
system handle rejects just fine.  Its just the one list that goofs
on rejects.

No.  I suspect that something in <listname/config.db is corrupt, so
I'd like to migrate all the contents of the current list's config.db 
to another list (membership and customisations), delete the current
list and then rename the new list to the old name.

Or something like that -- an attempt to get a correct config.db.
