[Mailman-Users] mailman wedges during post, waiting for locks

mailman is misbehaving on me: I have lots of copies oif python waiting for 
a lock during post, and I have a couple of zombies. It seems to have wedged
itself so that posting doesn't work. 

What's going on, what caused it, how do I fix it, and how do I prevent it
from happening again?
