We have about 80 subscribers. The Winnipeg Python Users Group was pretty active for a while, from about 2005 to 2010. There's also https://www.meetup.com/python-winnipeg with 215 members and we ran about 5 events in 2018-19. There is a domain "winnipug.ca" that I'm about to let go (2 days from now). If anyone wants it let me know. If you're in Winnipeg and still interested in Python, and you want to organize some meetings, I'm happy to help, including doing presentations, tutorials, etc. Stuart Williams. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Tuesday nights at 6pm are our open house nights where we always have a crowd already present. We've also got a tradition going now of an annual, weekend hackerspace festival (Hax) which features a morning and afternoon of presentations on the Saturday part of the festival. This year that will be Saturday May 18th, 2024. I'm still looking for more speakers on any topic that's of interest to a broad hackerspace community. https://groups.google.com/a/skullspace.ca/g/announce/c/Xfa-as2lM7E Anython Python related stuff from folks would match what we're looking for. One nice thing about presenting at Hax is that there is a network effect of having different speakers on totally subjects on the same day. This creates some cross cultural pollination both between speakers and audience.
