From stuart at swilliams.ca Tue Mar 10 08:26:08 2015 From: stuart at swilliams.ca (Stuart Williams) Date: Tue, 10 Mar 2015 07:26:08 -0500 Subject: [Python Wpg] Free Python tutorials in Winnipeg Message-ID: I'm giving two 3-hour tutorials at PyCon in early April, one for developers new to Python and one for intermediate Python developers: https://us.pycon.org/2015/schedule/presentation/298/ https://us.pycon.org/2015/schedule/presentation/297/ The second one I'm then filming for O'Reilly in early May. I've delivered earlier versions of both so they're already pretty polished. I'm lining up some dry-runs in Winnipeg to help me hone these tutorials. If you're interested please reply to me directly so I can gauge interest and let you know if they happen. I'll probably run each in an evening or a Friday afternoon. This is a practice run of the same tutorial I'll be giving at PyCon in Montreal one week later. The description of the tutorial is at https://us.pycon.org/2015/schedule/presentation/297/. Participants need to bring a laptop computer with Python 3 installed. I prefer to know ahead of time who is coming so I know how many to expect. So far six from the WinniPUG list have expressed interest, but others are welcome. Stuart. That's the door on the north side by the parking lot, not the Portage Ave. side. I plan to be at that door from about 5:25 to 5:40 p.m. If anyone arrives after that they'll have to text my cell phone so I can go down to let them in - I'll email my cell number to those who have told me they're planning to attend.
