Hi everyone,

In anticipation of the main PyCon conference in Montreal in 2014 and 2015,
a few enthusiastic devs in Toronto are hosting a PyCon Canada conference on
*November 9-11, 2012* to bring the Canadian Python community together. We'd
love to see folks from Winnipeg at the conference. Beyond preparing for
PyCon 2014 and 2015, our hope is to build a vibrant Python community across
Canada.

If you're just attending the conference, we don't have a hard deadline for
registering. Because this is our first attempt at getting folks together
and we're not sure what to expect, we got a smallish venue and attendance
is capped around 200. Because it does cost a lot to fly in Canada, we
expect most people attending will be those within driving distance of
Toronto - but I can also tell you that my husband just got back from PyOhio
and there were a couple of people there who said they'd be happy to have an
excuse to visit Canada :)

Talk or tutorial proposals for speakers are due by October 1. Keynote
speaker TBD, but we're working on it.
