 Since nobody has replied yet I figured I'd post something. This way there is 
at least something to discuss.

 This isn't a great idea. In fact the more I think about it the less it sounds 
as if it's feasible. We could always do a project for meetings where things 
fall through. For example we could look at creating a piece of software which 
people would want. Maybe a standalone version of the Allpeers Mozilla plugin. 
Or (this is the part I don't think is feasible) we could write a Python 
intrepreter for an old 8/16 bit system with quite a number of hobbiests. 
Namely the Apple// (if they are going to be used, I know where to get as many 
as we need). These would all be written and discussed either in the meetings 
or in our spare time.
