[Tutor] problems with running IDLE under Windows 95

 Can you try starting IDLE from a command prompt?
ie. Using python idle.py

That may produce some error messages in the 
console that will help diagnose the propblem.

My suspicion is that although Python works on 
Win95 the underlying Tcl/Tk libraries do not. 
But that's a guess.
