Assuming 'it' is Python then it depends on your 
previous programming experience.

If an absolute beginner go to the Newbies section 
of the Python web site.

If an experienced programmer in other languages go 
to the quick start section of the web site or just 
directly to the official tutor (it doesn't take that 
long and gives definitive descriptions).
