 Position: Python Engineer
Location: 100% remote (EST, CST or MST)
Duration: 6+ Month Contract
Start: ASAP
*Not able to provide visa sponsorship or work through 3rd party employers*

Responsibilities:   
   - Moving SAS technology into databricks technology using Azure
   - 20 different programs that need to be translated in this project
   - Records range from 1.7 million - 380 million
   - Mostly data manipulation and data transformation
   - Working in all phases of the development life cycle
   - Convert SAS Programs to Python
   - Help design and implement functional requirements
   - Build efficient back-end features in Python
   - Manage testing and bug fixes
   - Prepare technical documentation
   - Coach junior team members
   - Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements

Requirements:   
   - 3+ years of python engineering experience
   - SAS knowledge (understanding is ok, do not need to be proficient in SAS)
   - PySpark
