[triangle-zpug] Question - How to prevent folders showing up as Tabs

I just used Plone 2.5.1/Zope 2.9.5 logged in as site owner to go to:

1) Login
2) Create a folder (it's visible)
3) Site Setup -> Navigation Settings -> Automatically generate tabs 
(uncheck)
4) Logout

And the tab for the new folder (and all other tabs except "home") 
disappeared.

What's the problem?
