[Spambayes] Problem - SpamBayes tool bar not responding

Have run SpamBayes for several years and think it is excellent.  Have
hit a problem that mystifies me.  The plug-in has stopped working, and I
can't get it going again because the SpamBayes tool bar does not respond
- can't get to its menus.  Have tried de-installing and reinstalling.
No change.
 
Had a look at the FAQs but nothing there seemed to match what I was
seeing.
 
Help.
