As a classifier results are seen, the plug in works perfectly, and I want to thank all of you coders for the great work! However from time to time I am having some problems with Spambayes freezing my Outlook totally, if the connection to the IMAP server is busy. Our corporate IMAP server is over burdened and sometimes (actually quite often) the connection to the server fails. Sometimes, but not everytime, this leads to complete freeze of the Outlook. When I force Outlook to shut down and restart it, Outlook says that it was the Spambayes Outlook plugin that froze the system and asks if I would like disable it. This behavior is same for both versions 1.0.4 and the latest alpha release 1.1a4. I haven't got a slightest idea of SpamBayes code operation, but I wonder if this freeze-problem could be fixed by simply changing some timeout delays or adding an emergency exit to some loop to be used if connection to server fails. I just consider this a minor inconvenience for the privilege of using this wonderful program, as we classify thousands of emails per day with very few unsures and very near 100% accuracy. And to be honest, the website is a bit confusing for muggles. I am learning myself to build websites with Drupal and I'm looking for a project to get some experience. I think I may have some spare time in the upcoming weeks. Is it OK if I try to make a concept for a new Spambayes website, in Drupal? My personal site is http://amedee.be Another site is http://tik.be. I haven't built that one myself but I was involved in its design and I am administrator on that site, so I know its inner workings quite well. Both sites are in Dutch. Let me know what you think of the idea. SpamBayes is the only thing that allows me to use email. Without it, I would be drowning in spam. I am responsible for monitoring multiple mailboxes. Under Outlook 2002, I set SpamBayes to filter the Inboxes of each mailbox I monitor. This worked great. However, I was forced to upgrade to Outlook 2003 and now things aren't so rosy. Under Outlook 2003 and SpamBayes V1.1a4, I cannot open the other mailboxes when browsing for folders to filter. All the mailboxes are listed in the tree, but clicking the [+] next to the mailbox doesn't open it. If I click in the root mailbox folder, I get the standard prompt to select a child folder, but I cannot. I have Owner permission on all of these mailboxes and folders. I can access their contents without restriction. And, this all worked fine under Outlook 2002. All the mailboxes are hosted on Exchange 2003. Can you provider any guidance on this issue? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Sincerely, Kernel Software, Inc. Tim Sagstetter -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... SpamBayes never deletes email, so your question is about how to use your email program. If you're using Outlook, look in Outlook's "Deleted Items" folder. If you don't know what that means, try asking a coworker who uses Outlook (regardless of whether they use SpamBayes too -- this really isn't a SpamBayes question). Good luck! If you cleaned out your spam folder by deleting the items in it, the deleted items go to your Deleted Items folder. If you empted your Deleted Items folder with the item in it, it is gone. If your email is backed up on your server, you can recover that way. Spambayes does not use or need passwords? I think you are confused. -- Amedee
