[Spambayes] Spam Bayes Error

Folks,

I updated my Office 2000 installation with SP3 and the latest security patches and Spam Bayes is now broken.

I've tried uninstalling, then re-installing to no avail.
I've also looked through the troubleshooting guide but can't find anything that fixes the problem.
My log file on start up is attached below:

One thing to note is that before the Outlook login box appears I get the "Exchange server is unavailable", retry, work offline, cancel option. On pressing retry the the login box appears after a significant delay. 
Outlook takes an age before another "Exchange server is unavailable" box appears. After pressing Retry again Outlook sits there for another delay before finally starting and the Spam Bayes failed to initialise message appears.
