Dibbler's great!  It does take a bit of getting used to, but just work
through the code in pop3proxy or optionsconfig along with the
dibbler.__doc__ and you'll see what it does.  I don't think you'd easily
be able to replace it with something simpler that kept the power that
dibbler offers.

Not sure about slow - doesn't seem that way to me, but I'm not using
OSX, either.  What exactly seems slow?  Serving the pages?  There might
be something that the app using dibbler (pop3proxy or optionsconfig for
example) can do to speed things up a bit.
