It's the way Tim had it's directory set up (at least this is how I had
understand it at the time I implemented the first version of this
functionality). *.txt and *.lorien are files with one mail per file. I
think *.lorien denotes a particular set of SPAM mails.

IMHO we can remove the restriction, I assume it evolved from a quick
hack.
