Summary: can't reconfigure after something went wrong

Initial Comment:
Spambayes has been working fine for me with Thunderbird for years. Then this afternoon is stopped working; it said it couldn't contact local host. I checked my configuration, and it looked as though nothing was configured; my POP3 server was not listed in the POP3 proxy configuration page. So I put in my server name and under spambayes ports put in 110, which is the port I've been using all along. When I clicked save, I got this message: "The number of POP3 proxy ports specified must match the number of servers specified"

I don't know what to make of this. I'm listing one server and one proxy number. I tried setting the server settings to their defaults and then putting in my settings but I had the same result.

I'm using Vista, but I've been using Vista for months so I don't *think* that would be the problem, although you never know with Vista.

How many servers and ports did you specify? Are you sure you completely
cleared what was there previously (press Ctl-A to make sure you selected
all text before typing in your server name(s) and pop port(s))?

Have you looked at your configuration file in a text editor (Notepad or
similar which allows you to save a file as plain text)?
