[Soc2015-general] Help needed

Hello everyone;
I'm a student interested in getting some open source experience.
I know very little about programming i.e c++(STL) and python 2.7.
I was wondering if anyone could suggest me some projects ,resources or some
bugs which are beginner friendly.
