[SciPy-User] what do scale, loc parameters actually mean?

I'm using gamma.fit, and I get returned params:
In [24]: params
Out[24]: (1.1803836075007037, 276.9598220688149, 315.11452134103547)

These parameters are not clearly documented, what do they (mathematically) 
mean?
