[SciPy-user] Upgrade Installation of scipy on FC5

Dear All,
Quite some time ago I installed SciPy on my FC5 system following the
suggestions given on the mailing list (see quoted message below).
At the time that installed SciPy 0.5.x and now I would like to upgrade
to the new release.
How can I do that without ending up with a broken system? I am afraid
of experimenting too much on this machine which has to be up and
running all the time.
BTW, meanwhile there has been a new NumPy release as well, so I
suppose that has to be taken into account.
Simply, I would like to know if I can blindly repeat the procedure
followed last April or there is something I should do differently.

You should be able to do something like this:
http://projects.scipy.org/neuroimaging/ni/wiki/DevelopmentInstallFedora

Just skip the NIPY-specific steps and you don't need to enable the models
code in the sandbox.
