[SciPy-user] Gplt questions

List, 

Ive got two questions/problems that I was wondering if anyone can help 
me with. 

1) Is there any way to have gplt run in the background and save to a 
png or gif file without the output displaying on the screen?.

2)Ive noticed that when I save a graph to an image file, the icons 
colors, etc do not match what ws originally displayed on the screen. 
Does anyone know what causes this behavior...or more important are 
there any workarounds for it?
