That looks like a good start! Note that the proposal you have submit to
Google needs to have some sections that you are still missing, like a
timeline (broken down by week, with the work for that week) and links to
previous PRs. Here is the PSF template info to use:

It would be useful to reference Blendenpik and add a few more details about
it. Think also about answering a few obvious questions about it, like what
are the main challenges when implementing it, and how do you benchmark its
performance.

It's great to see that you've found a co-mentor who is intimately familiar
with the domain and algorithms.
