[SciPy-Dev] Adding Pearson residuals to chi2_contingency

Hi

I'm interested in contributing to scipy. I'd like to add a feature to
stats.chi2_contingency to return the raw and standardised Pearson residuals
- it's something I need myself.

The contributing guide [1] says I should run feature ideas past this list
before jumping in with a pull request, so here I am :)

Would this be a useful pull request?
