Sorry, I wasn't clear, I had left this link to figure out how to make
the link, but the link I wanted is an internal reference to an
attached rst file just before that

:ref:`(ppf of discrete random variables) <discrete-ppf>`

This seems to be working now, but it wasn't before. maybe just some
processing delay
