[SciPy-Dev] What is 'array_like'? Why an underscore instead of a hyphen?

Because my shift key was stuck? Think of it as a generic type name. As a
programmer, I'm not clear on how the subtraction of "like" from "array"
should be interpreted ;) Also, please put spaces around operators like "-"
and "+".
