Ralf, Can you check and backport http://projects.scipy.org/scipy/ticket/1195 ? I forgot to check mstats, when I corrected the axis handling of zmap and just saw it while looking at the docs. mstats.zmap still has inconsistent axis handling if axis != 0 Josef
