I think it is harder than other tasks related to scipy.signal (it is a
rather major new feature, which requires designing new APIs). I have
updated the application with some comments which were previously only
private.
You mentioned that you have some experience with signal processing
(designing some max/msp plugins). Could you update your application
with your background in signal processing ? Being more precise about
the features you feel capable of improving may improve your proposal,
