[SciPy-dev] Can we close ticket 593?

Tiziano Zito committed a fix in revision 5193

Nils reported that it fixed the problem for him.  Can anyone else who
was having this problem confirm that r5193 fixes it?  If I don't hear
anything to the contrary I will assume that we can close this ticket?
