[SciPy-dev] Status of weave

Hi,

Recently I asked a question on the Scipy-User list about using weave
with numpy arrays of dtype=object
(http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.python.scientific.user/14642). There
has been no reply, so now I'd like to find out the status of weave.

I see that various bugs have been fixed recently, and that there has
been some work on the converters (e.g. r3309 from the svn log), so I
guess someone is working on weave. Are there any plans to allow arrays
with dtype=object to be converted?
